Depois que migre para o PulseAudio tive um problema ao tenta usar o HDMI do notebook. Jogos, videos e musicas não estavam reproduzindo na saída do HDMI.
Instalar o pavucontrol.
$ pacman -S pavucontrol
Depois podemos abrir o pavucontrol, navegue até onde tem seu dispositivo HDMI e clique no botão ✅.
Agora ele é o dispositivo padrão de saída de audio. :)
