Yesterday we had our first group meeting where we discussed our ideas for the game we want to create. We also strung together the sort of roles we will all be doing.
Our main idea is a 2D fighting game using half-keyboard for each sprite. It will be heavily centered around the four elements, aiming for the most interactivity between elements, objects, sprites and the levels themselves. The aim for each level is to be unique differing from the others (ranging in differences in physics, elements, conditions and timers..). We still need to decide on what sort of theme we will be basing it off, whether it be medieval, superpowerish or just something similar to super smash bros!
We've decided that the best way for us to handle all the roles etc is that we just do everything (sound, art, physics) in a certain part of the game, just so we don't leave someone in particular with excess work. Myself and Aaron were assigned the main role of Bots - this will include the sprites, art, sound and the physics of the bots.
So far i don't have much experience in this field but id like to expand my skills!
