I think productivity apps are becoming distractions themselves.

Every week there’s a new AI planner.
A new productivity coach.
A new “second brain.”

And honestly?

A lot of them feel harder to use than just doing the work.

So I started building Super Brain in the opposite direction.

No AI.
No dashboards.
No “optimize your life” system.

Just repeated focus sessions + your own music.

That’s the entire idea.

The way I see it:

Focus is less about motivation and more about repetition.

You sit down.
You start.
You repeat that enough times, and entering focus starts feeling more natural.

That’s what Super Brain is built around.

Not endless features.

Not complexity.

Just a consistent loop:
Start → Focus → Finish → Repeat

One thing that mattered a lot to me was music.

Most focus apps push built-in ambient tracks.

Super Brain doesn’t.

You use your own music instead.

Because people already have songs, playlists, and sounds they associate with certain mental states.

The app just gives that repetition a structure.

I think a lot of productivity apps accidentally create friction by trying to help too much.

Too many options.
Too many systems.
Too many things asking for attention before you even begin.

I wanted the opposite feeling:

Open app → start focusing immediately.

That’s it.

I’m curious if anyone else feels this way.

Are productivity apps getting too complicated?

Even a quick “yes” or “no” would genuinely help me think through this while building Super Brain.
