The 5-minute pre-flight checklist

Set a timer. Work top to bottom. Do not publish until every row is green.

Minute 1 — Title keyword audit

[ ] Brand name appears in the first 30 characters
[ ] Size or dimensions included (W32 L30, Size 8, etc.)
[ ] Primary category keyword present (denim jacket, crossbody bag, etc.)
[ ] No ALL CAPS spam or emoji clutter

Fail example: "Cool Vintage Jacket"

Pass example: "Levi's 501 Denim Jacket Mens W32 L30 Blue Vintage 90s"

Minute 2 — Photo and description readiness

[ ] 6+ photos uploaded (eBay) or cover + 3 detail shots (Poshmark)
[ ] Flaws disclosed in description (stains, wear, missing button)
[ ] Measurements in inches/cm for apparel
[ ] SKU in inventory CSV matches listing ID

Minute 3 — Fee and shipping math

[ ] Platform fee estimated and logged in sales row
[ ] Shipping label cost entered (even if buyer pays — you still buy the label)
[ ] Net margin above your floor (mine is 35% after all fees)

Minute 4 — Inventory row complete

[ ] COGS sourced and logged before publish
[ ] list_price set with fee math in mind, not gut feel

[ ] Aging alarm will fire at 90 days automatically

Minute 5 — Run the dashboard command

If margin is red or aging flags fire before you even list, fix price or pass on the SKU — SEO cannot save a listing that loses money.
