Whenever we talk about low-code platforms, it often feels like we’re stepping into a stadium with two opposing crowds: on one side, those who say it’s the inevitable future; on the other, those who believe we should stay as far away as possible, as if it were an imminent danger. We rarely see a middle ground.
Part of this comes from platforms that, not too long ago, made promises that were impossible to deliver at the time. Another part comes from us, as professionals, who still have concerns and even prejudices about the topic.
That’s why I’m conducting a survey for my MBA in Project Management final paper. The goal is to understand the main challenges in adopting low-code platforms for software development — including perceived benefits and possible limitations.
I’m not an active member of this forum, and I know I’m showing up with a request right away (sorry!). I’ve checked the forum rules and didn’t find anything that forbids this type of post, but if I’m breaking any rule, I’m totally open to removing the thread.
I’d also like this space to be a place where we can exchange experiences about low-code: what we like, our concerns, bad experiences... everything.
➡️ For your answers to be included in the formal research, please respond directly through the survey link:
I truly appreciate any contributions, whether by filling out the survey or sharing your thoughts here. I also hope I can add my (small) experience to the discussion! 🙌
TL;DR:
I want to know what you think about low-code. Fill out the survey here:

I’ll go first: Do you think starting a developer career with low-code platforms is a bad move for someone who’s new to the field and trying to break into the market? Could starting with this kind of experience make it harder for them to build a long-term career as a software developer?
