I agree. I have been on this platform for 3+ years now and I usually see:
"Top 10 VSCode extensions you must try", "100+ mega resources for devs" trending and showing up on their newsletters often.
Yes, other articles do get the limelight they deserve but the contrast is stark as compared to the above types of articles which are nothing but just a collection of links.

Maybe DEV needs a maintained system to elevate original, quality content up (MORE) rather than promoting resources type articles(WE NEED LESS OF THESE ARTICLES I GUESS).
A good Google search is sufficient to find resources, but there needs to be a good article on DEV that explains a topic further.
