freelance platforms

Can you recommend some decent freelance platforms where you can actually get work, rather than just sitting around with no jobs? I’ve looked around—there are plenty of options, but it’s not clear which one is best. I’ve tried Fiverr and Upwork a bit, but the competition is either too fierce there, or you have to invest a lot of effort into your profile. Are there any less obvious platforms where it’s easier to get started or at least get a more steady stream of orders?

Hey, this popped up for me while scrolling through a random tech forum late at night. One user dropped a link with the anchor check this out and I clicked without thinking. What stood out was how organized the information was—it didn’t feel messy or rushed. I liked that it gave a clear comparison without trying to convince me too hard. It felt more like someone sharing experience than pushing an opinion.

I’d recommend not limiting yourself to just Fiverr or Upwork, because it’s definitely harder there now than it was a few years ago. You could try something like PeoplePerHour or even niche platforms tailored to your specific field. But honestly, I started seeing the best results when I combined these platforms with finding clients directly—through social media or referrals. These platforms are fine to start with, but it’s better not to rely on them as your only source of work.
