Yesterday, I attended my first React JS Developer interview, and it was a really valuable experience in my journey as a frontend developer.
The interview had multiple rounds.
Round 1 – Written Test
There were 20 questions, and I was able to answer 17 questions correctly.
Clearing the written round gave me a lot of confidence and made me realize that the concepts I had been learning were actually helping me.
Round 2 – Technical Interview
In the technical round, I was asked about:
- Self Introduction
- My Projects
- React JS
- JavaScript
- React Hooks
- useState
- useEffect
- useRef
- useMemo,React Memo
- React Router
- useCallback
- React Rendering
- Performance Optimization
- Other frontend concepts
I was able to explain the concepts and my projects confidently, and I felt really happy with my performance.
What I Learned
This experience taught me that interviews are not just about getting selected.
They help us understand:
✨ What we know
✨ What we need to improve
✨ How well we can communicate
✨ How confidently we can explain our projects
✨ Where we need to focus more
This was my first React JS Developer interview, and I'm genuinely happy that I was able to face it with confidence.
Whatever the result may be, I'm taking this experience as a learning milestone and continuing to improve myself.
I'm still learning, building projects, preparing, and working towards my goal of becoming a React JS Developer.
Every interview is not just an opportunity to get a job — it's an opportunity to become better prepared for the next one.
