I run a small B2B SaaS and used to manually track MRR in a spreadsheet — then I built this.
The problem: Most SaaS metrics tools cost $50+/month and lock you into their data model. I wanted a flexible template I could adapt.
What I built: A 4-tab Google Sheet that calculates MRR, ARR, churn rate, LTV, and Net Revenue Retention automatically. It comes with 20 sample customers so you see it working immediately.
How it works:
- Tab 1 (Dashboard): formulas pull from raw data — no manual entry
- Tab 2 (Customer Data): just paste your subscription rows
- Tab 3 (Cohort Retention): pivot table showing retention curves
- Tab 4 (Projection): 12-month forecast based on assumptions
The whole thing takes 10 minutes to set up.
