Searching for a job across European borders comes with unique friction: mixed-language descriptions, fragmented regional job boards, and complex salary structures.
To tackle this, we built NewLuxJob—an AI-powered job search aggregator indexing over 1.3 million active vacancies across 14 European countries.
Key Engineering & Product Challenges
Building a multi-country aggregator required solving three specific regional hurdles:
- Multilingual Context Parsing: Job listings in Europe frequently mix English, French, and German. Traditional exact-keyword matching fails when a candidate's CV is in one language and the spec is in another. Using semantic embeddings allows us to evaluate core competencies regardless of the input language.
- Automated Match Scoring: Rather than just serving a list of links, the platform automatically ranks and scores open vacancies directly against the candidate's uploaded profile.
- Localized Financial Clarity: Cross-border candidates need instant gross-to-net insights. Integrating localized tools like our Luxembourg salary calculator helps talent evaluate real compensation before applying.
Tech Takeaways
When building SaaS for European markets, generic global approaches miss critical regional nuances. Combining multi-source aggregation with semantic LLM parsing provides immediate clarity for job seekers navigating multi-lingual markets.
