Cat6A — 500 MHz, 10GBASE-T, 100 m, UTP or shielded. Default for horizontal runs.
• Cat8 — 2000 MHz, 25G/40GBASE-T, ~30 m, shielded only. Data-center short links.
• Same 8P8C footprint, backward compatible — but you only get the class if the whole channel is rated for it + shield bonded.
