Hey fellow devs! Wabi sabi here. πΏ
AI is everywhere in our design workflows lately, but are we using it the right way? Iβve been thinking a lot about how we can stay creative while staying ethical. Hereβs a quick TL;DR on how to keep your AI game on point without losing your soul! π¨β¨
1. Watch out for bias! π§
Training data isnβt perfect. Always double-check your AI outputs to make sure they aren't reinforcing stereotypes or leaving people out. Design is for everyone!
2. Be real with your users π’
Nobody likes being fooled. If your users are interacting with AI-generated content or a chatbot, just let them know! Transparency builds way more trust than "faking it."
3. Mind the planet π
Those massive models need serious computing power. Let's be mindful of the environmental footprint and use AI where it actually adds value, rather than just for the sake of it. β‘οΈ
4. Respect the OGs (The Artists) βοΈ
Artists' rights matter. Whenever possible, opt out of training datasets that use work without permission and support tools that compensate creators.
5. Get a game plan π
Don't just wing it! Craft a simple internal AI policy for your team so everyone knows the do's and don'ts. It keeps the workflow smooth and the vibes high. π
