forkai.in is a branching research tool for the kind of question that doesn't end cleanly. You pull one thread, it splits, you follow both, and an hour later you've built a map that would've taken a full day to reconstruct by hand.
Their hero headline: "Ask once. Branch forever." Technically accurate. Behaviorally wrong.
Here's what they missed: no researcher thinks "I need to branch." They think "I keep losing the thread." They think "I started this same question over on Tuesday because I couldn't find where I left off last Thursday." The headline names the mechanism. The buyer is buying relief from context collapse — a specific, repeatable pain that the feature solves but the headline never names.
The rewrite
Before: "Ask once. Branch forever."
After: "Research any question to its full depth — every branch you pull stays live on your mind map, so you never lose context or start over mid-inquiry."
We ran forkai.in through our audit engine. The finding: mechanism-first H1, no buyer outcome visible above the fold. The fix took one sentence.

The pattern
This is the most common H1 failure mode we see across SaaS landing pages: the headline names the feature or mechanism instead of naming what the buyer stops dreading when it works.
forkai.in branches. That's the mechanism. The buyer is buying the ability to finally finish a research thread without losing context. Those are different things. The headline was selling the first thing. The buyer wanted to hear about the second.
More audits
This is part of an ongoing free audit series. We audit real founder landing pages and post the before/after publicly — every H1 is DOM-verified against the live site. The full gallery: https://outboundautonomy.com/audits
If your SaaS landing page is doing the same thing — describing the feature instead of naming the outcome — we’ll rewrite your top 3 messaging gaps in 48h as a paste-ready diff.
