When I want to understand a Minecraft seed, I usually need more than a random coordinate list. I want to see how the biomes connect, compare the Overworld, Nether, and End, and share a useful view with someone else.
That is the problem I built MapMC to solve.
MapMC is a browser-based Minecraft map explorer. Paste a seed, move around the generated world, inspect biomes and coordinates, zoom in and out, and share the map view without creating an account.
The project is intentionally focused on a practical workflow:
- explore a seed visually instead of guessing from isolated coordinates
- switch between the major dimensions when planning a build or route
- use the map as a reference while working on a world
- share a direct map URL with another player
You can try it here: https://mapmc.app/seed-map
The home page is here: https://mapmc.app/
I am still improving the details that make a seed map useful in real play: clearer labels, faster navigation, and better ways to move from discovery to a concrete build plan. If you use Minecraft mapping tools, I would be interested in what you check first when evaluating a new seed.
