CPR Training in VR

My Final Project

This was a hackathon project done in a team of 4 a few years back.

We wanted to make CPR training more engaging. In classrooms, we can learn all the basic steps of how to perform CPR, but we do not get the full immersive experience. I have had CPR training before, but I don't think I can calmly help someone in need in an actual stressful situation.

Moreover, we wanted to make CPR training more accessible. This one headset can be used by many people who might need this sort of training, whether it's for personal learning or for the workplace.

We used Unity, and Leap Motion, meant to be used with Google Cardboard.

Hey Yiming,
Your virtual reality CPR teaching project is quite inspirational. Combining Unity and Leap Motion with Google Cardboard is a creative way to make life-saving abilities more interesting and easily available. It's admirable how you used reasonably priced devices to provide an immersive learning environment.

Studies have found that non-medical personnel' CPR knowledge and abilities may be much improved by VR instruction. Your project shows the possibilities of VR in closing the distance between academic understanding and practical application, in line with these results.

Your project has very remarkable scalability. You have removed a typical obstacle in conventional training techniques by allowing several users to exercise with one helmet. This method increases inclusiveness as well as cost-effectiveness of training.
