Seedance, Kling & MiniMax H3 hubs vs fixed photo effects (Nov 4 overview)

Disclosure: I built and run AI Effects Video, an independently operated site for fixed photo-to-video effects. These hub pages are independent editorial guides. They are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ByteDance / Seed, Kuaishou / Kling, MiniMax, Pika, or other model vendors named below. Product names belong to their owners.

Creators who search model names usually need one of two things: a prompt-led generation path on a vendor or host product, or a finished scene with labeled photo roles. On 4 November 2026 I published three model hubs that keep that split honest — the hubs teach; checkout still sells one fixed MP4 per purchase, not a playground.

Hubs covered in this note

Earlier VidoGrid-style posts already covered /hub/vidogrid — this article does not duplicate that page.

Shared honesty on every hub

Each page repeats the same product boundary (paraphrased from the live hubs):

  • AI Effects Video does not offer that tool’s API or playground on the hub page.
  • Paid effects are not claimed to be powered by that model.
  • Descriptions come from linked public sources; generation quality, speed, and billing were not independently tested for these reviews.
  • One purchase = one finished MP4 for a selected fixed template; confirmed paid orders enter manual preparation.

Seedance: 2.0 vs 2.5, then check your host

Seedance summarizes ByteDance Seed’s audio-video family. Public pages describe multimodal inputs for generation and reference-guided editing; 2.5 is described with longer narratives and stronger reference/edit control, including publisher talk of clips up to 30 seconds in a single generation (with extension options). That does not make every hosted Seedance UI a 30-second tool — check the selected version and mode first.

Useful first comparison method on the hub: one subject, one visible action, one camera move; judge whether the action finishes and whether identity/audio stay coherent. Version numbers alone are not a quality ranking.

Kling: 3.0 family vs 4.0 launch claims

Kling points at Kuaishou’s public announcements: the 3.0 series (February 5, 2026 announcement in the hub’s sources) and Kling 4.0 described as launched 15 October 2026. Publisher emphasis cited on the page includes ~15-second clips with native audio for 3.0-era messaging, versus longer single-pass shots and Omni Reference language for 4.0 — with some formats described as future support.

Practical checklist before a paid Kling run:

  1. Confirm you selected a video model (not an image-only sibling in the 3.0 family).
  2. Separate identity references from motion references.
  3. Treat longer maxima as more room for mistakes, not automatic quality upgrades.
  4. Do not assume AI Effects Video templates are Kling-generated examples — the hub states they are alternatives, not attributed samples.

MiniMax H3: open-source claims, Pika labels, VBVR ≠ a plan

MiniMax H3 keeps manufacturer statements visible: MiniMax introduced H3 on 31 July 2026 with an open-source announcement on 3 August; multimodal text/image/video/audio inputs and native sound are described as publisher claims, reviewed 4 November 2026. The open-source specification cited on the hub lists roughly 4–15 second outputs and a default shorter side around 768px, with a separate path mentioned for higher resolution — hosted products can differ.

Disambiguation the hub insists on:

  • Pika H3 Flex is described by Pika as post-trained on MiniMax H3; Pika also lists a separate MiniMax H3 app page — confirm the exact label before carrying prompts between them.
  • VBVR (Very Big Video Reasoning) is a research/eval suite, not an H3 purchase plan or a fixed-effect template.
  • Open weights ≠ automatic unrestricted commercial use or zero operating cost — read the actual license and host terms.

The hub includes original, untested planning prompts (product-reveal mug; lobby head-turn) as review methods, not benchmarked recipes.

DIY model access vs fixed effect (decision table)

Need Better path
Invent action, camera, and references External Seedance / Kling / H3 access — use the hubs as planning checklists
Already like a published scene; only need casting AI Effects Video fixed template → watch complete reference → labeled photos
Expect a Seedance/Kling/H3 selector inside checkout Not offered — stop before paying for that expectation
Need identical faces, custom soundtrack, or timed SLA Not what the fixed-effect product promises

Directory blurb (short reuse)

Educational AI video hubs comparing Seedance, Kling, and MiniMax H3 publisher claims with fixed photo-to-video templates on AI Effects Video. Independent site; not affiliated with ByteDance, Kuaishou, MiniMax, or Pika. Hubs teach; store sells one finished MP4 per template order.
