Best Hacking Tools for Bug Bounty & Penetration Testing | A Complete Open-Source Collection (Updated Guide)

What Is the Hacking-Tools Repository?

I’ve been working on an organized GitHub repository that brings all the most-used hacking, bug bounty, and penetration-testing tools into one place because people often struggle to find a clean, updated, and beginner-friendly list online, and this repo basically solves that problem by categorizing everything clearly—from information gathering, vulnerability scanning, reconnaissance, exploitation frameworks, password-cracking utilities, wireless testing, OSINT, malware analysis, digital forensics, web application security tools, sniffing/spoofing, stress testing, and a lot more.

Making it extremely useful for anyone learning ethical hacking or preparing for real bug bounty work.

I’ve kept the structure simple so even someone new to cybersecurity can quickly understand what each category is for, while experienced testers can instantly pick the tools they need during active tests.

The idea wasn’t just to create another list but to build a centralized, practical toolkit that grows over time and stays updated with the tools most professionals actually use, so if anyone wants to explore the collection, I’ve also added important resources inside for learners who want to go deeper.
