A few months ago I started building Veadicastro.
At first I thought:
“I’ll connect AI with astrology and it’ll work.”
It didn’t 😅
The biggest problem was not frontend.
Not backend.
Not even SEO.
It was accuracy.
If astrology calculations are even slightly wrong, users notice immediately.
I spent a stupid amount of time debugging:
ascendants
timezone issues
chart mismatches
Lahiri calculations
API logic
Some users literally compared results with Astrotalk and other apps side by side.
That pressure actually helped improve the product.
Another thing I learned:
AI sounds smart until users ask emotional or personal questions.
Then suddenly every response starts sounding repetitive.
I had to experiment a lot with:
prompts
response structure
prediction style
shorter answers
conversational tone
SEO was another unexpected thing.
Initially almost nobody visited the site.
Then pages slowly started ranking.
Traffic started coming from Google instead of social media.
Right now the project has crossed 3M+ impressions on Google Search, which still feels weird honestly.
Still learning every day though.
Things I’m currently bad at:
backlinks
authority building
retention
scaling content properly
But building a real product taught me more than watching tutorials for years.
Would genuinely love advice from people who’ve scaled content or SEO-heavy products before.
