I develop YuHex, a binary editor for Windows.

I've received quite a bit of feedback from overseas users. Everyone has been kind and helpful!

Meanwhile, zero feedback from Japan.
Maybe Japanese users are just more reserved.

Do the overseas users find YuHex differently, or is it just where you posted about it?

That's a good point! I promote YuHex on X and Threads in both Japanese and English, and also on DEV.to and Medium.

I don't know exactly how overseas users discover YuHex, so it could be a difference in where I post rather than a cultural difference.

It's an interesting question, and something I'd like to understand better. Thanks for bringing it up!

Asking new users where they first saw YuHex would settle it fast. The language split alone would tell you a lot.

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about asking users directly where they discovered YuHex.

I'll try asking when I receive feedback. It would be interesting to see whether the difference comes from language, promotion channels, or something else.

Thanks for the advice!

It's fascinating how reactions differ across cultures.
