I Built Stardust Trader — A Modern Paper Trading App
I’ve been working on Stardust Trader, a mobile-first paper-trading app designed for people who want to practice trading without using real money.
The idea was simple: create a trading experience that feels like a modern financial app, but keeps the focus on simulation, learning, and practice.
What I built
Stardust Trader lets users:
- Explore market information
- Practice simulated buy and sell trades
- Manage a virtual portfolio
- Track trading activity and performance
- Manage their profile and account settings
- Practice trading without risking real money
I focused heavily on the mobile experience because I wanted it to feel like an actual Android application rather than simply a website inside an app.
The product was built independently, from the initial idea and UI/UX through development, testing, and launch.
Why paper trading?
For beginners, jumping directly into real-money trading can be intimidating and risky. A simulated environment provides a way to experiment, make mistakes, and understand the basic trading workflow without financial risk.
Stardust Trader is my attempt to make that experience simple and approachable.
