ZOE — Handmade in Crete: The Craft Behind Our Greek Cotton Clothing

From our Cretan hands, born of passion.

ZOE is a family-run clothing workshop in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, Greece. We have been making garments by hand since 1988, and every piece that leaves our workshop carries a little of the island with it.

It starts with the fabric: premium Greek Peigné cotton, chosen for its softness and strength. Each garment is then stonewashed with real volcanic stone, a slow process that gives the fabric its lived-in softness and subtle, sun-faded character. No two pieces age exactly alike.

Then comes the part that makes ZOE unmistakable. Our textile designer, Catherine Sparkes, hand-paints the designs on our clothing. These are not prints run off by the thousand; they are original artworks applied to small-batch garments, so the hand-painted tees and every other piece feel genuinely one of a kind.

If you are new to the brand, the best sellers are the best place to start — they are the pieces our customers keep coming back for. And when the weather turns, our Greek cotton hoodies bring the same hand-finished craft to a heavier layer.

Everything is made in small batches in our Cretan workshop and shipped worldwide via FedEx.
