"Not Available".
This is the only two words would show on netflix.com if you run into a network problem while traveling in China.
netflix.com is not banned by the GFW of China, it was Netflix that voluntarily cut off its service to China.
So if it sniffed anything unusual, "Not Available" is shown.
On Mac
As mentioned in this post, make sure your VPN work as expected, then:
Open System Settings from Launchpad, go to Network, and click the Details… button next to your network.
Go to the TCP/IP tab → Configure IPv6 and select Link-Local Only from the dropdown menu.
There will be a great chance to visit Netflix again.
