Nvidia is in early talks to acquire or deepen its stake in Reflection AI, the open-weight model lab valued at 25 bi l l i o n . A s an e x i s t in g 800M investor, Nvidia is weighing options including an acqui-hire, additional equity, or expanded chip supply deals. Reflection, founded by ex-DeepMind researchers, just released Beam , a 501B-parameter MoE model matching Z.ai's GLM-5.2 on reasoning benchmarks. The move is part of Nvidia's strategy to gain direct control over frontier foundation models after acquiring Hugging Face for ~$13B in September.
