Your CheapUno Clone Is Not Working. Lets Fix It.
I built my first Arduino clone for $5. It took 3 hours to debug.
The problem was simple — loose ground wire. But I did not know where to start.
So I made this free debugging kit to save you those 3 hours.
What Is Inside The Free Kit
1. Power Verification
Is your USB cable providing 5V? Is your voltage regulator outputting the right voltage? Is your battery fresh?
2. Connection Inspection
Are all GND wires connected to a common ground? Are your jumper wires loose? Do you have cold joints?
3. Upload Diagnostics
Correct board selected? Correct port? Is the bootloader alive?
4. Serial Monitor Check
Baud rate match? Garbage characters = wrong baud rate.
5. Common Errors Quick Reference
The most frequent error messages decoded with solutions.
How To Get The Free Kit
All files are free:
-
checklist.md- Main debugging flow -
wiring-inspection.md- Visual inspection guide -
common-errors.md- Error quick reference
You can find them in my GitHub repo (link in my profile).
Want A Custom BOM?
Building a specific project and need a tailored bill of materials?
For $10, I will create a custom BOM for your project:
- Component list with supplier links
- Estimated cost breakdown
- Wiring suggestion for your specific setup

This is the only paid thing I offer. The debugging kit itself is free — use it, share it, no pressure.
