I Built a Free AI Tarot Reader & Horoscope App for $1
7 tools. Zero signup. One dollar total cost.
I wanted a horoscope app that didn't make me create an account, pay $9.99/month, or get spammed with ads. So I built my own.
mysticaura.fun — a free AI-powered astrology and tarot platform with 7 tools.
What's on the site
🔮 Daily Horoscope — Pick your sign and mood, get an AI-generated reading. No generic daily blurbs — actual personalized insights.
🃏 Tarot Reading — 3-card spread: past, present, future. Full Major Arcana deck with beautiful card art. Ask a question, draw your cards, read the interpretation.
💫 Zodiac Compatibility — Check how two signs vibe. Love, friendship, or work — get a score and detailed breakdown.
⭐ Destiny Keywords — Enter your name and birthday. Get your fate-themed keywords like "WARRIOR", "DREAMER", or "HEALER".
🌍 Inner Element — Fire, Earth, Air, or Water? Take the quiz and discover which element rules your personality.
🎭 AI Persona + Bio — Generate your cosmic identity and get a ready-to-copy Instagram bio.
🖼️ AI Portrait — Describe yourself and the AI generates your cosmic vibe as artwork.
The tech stack (zero coding required)
Domain: $1/year from Spaceship
Hosting: Cloudflare Pages (free)
AI Backend: Cloudflare Workers (free tier, 100K requests/day)
AI Model: Meta Llama on Workers AI (free)
Total monthly cost: $0.08 (just the domain, amortized).
Why I built this
Every astrology app I found was the same: download, create account, give email, pay subscription, get daily push notifications. I just wanted to check my horoscope without becoming someone's marketing lead.
So I built a clean, private alternative. No accounts. No data collection. No notifications. Just you and the stars.
What people actually use
After watching the analytics for a few weeks, the most popular tools are:
Tarot Reading — hands down #1. People love the card reveal animation.
Zodiac Compatibility — "Is my crush compatible?" is apparently a universal question.
Daily Horoscope — steady daily users who come back every morning.
What I'd do differently
The site is intentionally minimal — and that's both a strength and a weakness. Some users want more detailed explanations, historical data, or the ability to save readings. I chose simplicity over features because I wanted something that works immediately without friction.
If you're building something: ship the simplest version first. You can always add features later. You can't add users later.
