As a software engineering student, I spend most of my time learning, coding, and collaborating with peers. One thing Iโm proud to have experienced in my university is the way our instructors and classmates approach participation: everyone regardless of gender is encouraged to answer questions, share ideas, and contribute. This inclusive environment helps everyone feel confident and grow together.
Iโm grateful to our professors and the online tech community for teaching us the lesson to consider your self the citizens of the world, treating people equally regardless of gender, race, or background. This mindset has embraced me to see people for who they truly are, valuing their actions and character rather than their family, locality, or past.
Experiencing this has shown me that gender equity isnโt just about correcting wrongs itโs about actively creating fair and inclusive spaces. Small actions, like giving everyone equal attention and respect, can have a huge impact, and Iโm inspired to carry this mindset forward in my journey as a developer.
