🔵 Series Introduction: Mastering Azure Management — A Complete Hands-On Project

Managing resources effectively in Microsoft Azure is a core skill for every cloud administrator, engineer, and IT professional. This series is designed to walk through a complete, end-to-end Azure management project, following the official Microsoft Learn hands-on labs for “Get Started with Microsoft Azure Management Tasks.”

Across six practical exercises, you will build, secure, organize, and clean up an Azure environment—just like real Azure administrators do daily.
Each lab builds on the previous one, helping you gradually understand how Azure’s core services work together.

Whether you’re preparing for Azure certification (AZ-104 / AZ-900), improving your hands-on experience, or strengthening your cloud operations skills, this series will guide you step-by-step.

📌 What This Series Covers

✔️ Prepare Azure for Management Tasks

You will set up the environment, deploy initial resources, and ensure Azure is ready for further configuration.
This forms the foundation for all the labs in the project.

✔️ Manage a Virtual Network

You will create and configure Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and network settings used for communication within Azure.

✔️ Manage Virtual Machines

You will deploy, connect, monitor, and manage Azure virtual machines, including sizing, networking, and tools for management.

✔️ Control Storage Access

You will secure access to Azure Storage using shared keys, SAS tokens, and storage account configuration.

✔️ Manage Tags and Locks

You will apply tags for cost management and governance, and use resource locks to prevent accidental deletion or modification.

✔️ Clean Up Your Environment

Finally, you will delete unnecessary resources and ensure your environment is left clean and cost-efficient.

** What You Will Gain**

By the end of this full series, you will have hands-on experience with:

  • Azure governance (RBAC, tags, locks)
  • Virtual networks & connectivity
  • Virtual machine deployment & management
  • Securing and monitoring storage
  • Resource cleanup & cost-control best practices
  • Real-world Azure administrative workflows

This is a full practical project that demonstrates your ability to build, manage, secure, and maintain Azure environments from start to finish.

Stay tuned — each post will come with clear steps, practical tips, and real-world readiness in mind.
