In this post, I’ll walk you through the simple steps to create your first Azure account using the Azure Portal.

Step 1: Go to the Azure Portal

  • Open your browser and navigate to https://portal.azure.com.
  • You’ll see the Azure sign-in page with options to sign in or create a new account.

Step 2: Click on “Create an Account.”

  • Select “Create one!” If you don’t already have a Microsoft account.
  • You can use an existing email (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) or create a new Outlook email.

Step 3: Enter Your Details

  • Provide your name, email, and password.
  • Verify your email address with a code sent to your inbox.

Step 4: Add Security Information

  • Enter your phone number for identity verification.
  • Choose your country/region.

Step 5: Provide Payment Information

  • Azure requires a credit/debit card for verification, but you won’t be charged for the free trial.
  • Microsoft offers $200 free credit for the first 30 days and access to free services for 12 months.

Step 6: Agree to Terms and Finish

  • Review the Microsoft Azure agreement.
  • Click Sign Up to complete the process.
