Canada has NINE federal holidays. But your actual paid days off? That depends on your province. Here's the map.
Federal = baseline
Canada Day, Victoria Day, Thanksgiving, Labour Day, etc. These apply to federally regulated workers (banks, transport, telecom).
Provincial = the twist
- Quebec: no paid Remembrance Day
- Alberta: Family Day instead of nothing
- NL: St. Patrick's Day combo
- BC: BC Day unique
