I built a zero-dependency open-source MCP server so any AI agent can call any AI tool (pay-per-use)

Most MCP servers demand a pile of pip install dependencies that break on install. Mine uses only the Python standard library — clone it, python3 server.py, done.

It wraps a complete AI tool marketplace (AIMALL) into 5 standard MCP tools, so any MCP client — Claude, Cursor, LangChain, Dify, Coze — loads it in one click.

The wall every agent builder hits

  • Want web search or image gen? Register per vendor, read docs, wire SDKs, manage a Key zoo.
  • Every vendor bills differently; balances are scattered; you can't tell what one task cost.
  • Swap a model → edit code; swap a vendor → rewrite the adapter.

Result: 80% of agent projects die before their first external AI call.

The fix: AI tools as plug-and-play standard parts

One endpoint /api/v1/ai/request, one X-API-Key, per-call metering, one unified order + balance.

Five tools:

  • list_assets — list every asset (ID, type, unit price)
  • ai_estimate — price a call without charging (budget gate)
  • ai_request — actually call; returns result + order + balance
  • bootstrap_account — self-serve register + create agent key
  • get_onboarding — onboarding steps + docs
