The Story Behind Fast Todos

I never intended to launch a SaaS. Honestly, I just wanted to build a tool that worked the way my brain does. It started during a different project.

I was using a simple text file as a to-do list because everything else felt too heavy. I realized that apps like Notion, while powerful, imposed a cognitive load I didn't want. I didn't want a learning curve; I wanted something for the moment, fast, simple, and effective.

I’m far from being a "brilliant" developer. I just focused on what I needed most: staying in the flow. That led me to build a system entirely driven by keyboard shortcuts. No mouse, no distractions, just execution.

I eventually put the app online, and to my surprise, I got my first paying customer. I used to think it was just luck. But now I realize that when you build something to solve your own genuine frustration, you end up building something that resonates with others.

Hard work doesn't always bring immediate wealth, but it brings the reward of creating something that actually works. If success follows, it will be a consequence of that work.
