The beginnee binding examples are easy but discouraged for bigger apps and the components, which should be used for bigger apps, looked more complicated then with React.
I agree with this. For "simpler" apps Vue is better - but how often do we build "simple" JS-powered apps in 2017? Once you try and do anything complex in Vue and break your app down into Components, you really lose any advantage over React.

I've heard Vue has a much easier learning curve than React, similar to AngularJS. Glad to hear another person that feels the same way.
