Edge tiles are the hardest cells to clear. Learn how to manage the perimeter of your puzzle board.

The edge tile disadvantage

A center tile participates in four possible line clears: horizontal rows and vertical columns that cross through the center. An edge tile only participates in lines that extend to the boundary.

Because edge blocks have fewer clearing opportunities, clearing outer rows should be your top priority whenever five or six edge cells are filled.

Putting this into practice

Whether you play on your morning commute or as an evening wind-down, focusing on deliberate placements will transform your experience.

Take your time with every move, protect your open board corridors, and enjoy the calm flow of clean puzzle gaming.
