I feel like, day-by-day, there's less and less that I can't do. I'm actually searching for problems to solve because AI tools have given me super powers. I also feel like anyone with a computer and internet connection has access to those same exact super powers.
- Any app idea: I'm confident I can build it
- Any image I need: I'm confident I can create it
- Any video clip I need: There's an AI for that
- Need to analyze an investment: Gemini and ChatGPT
- Design a website: Yep. Tools for that.
- Creatively blocked?: Brainstorm with ChatGPT
- Need deep research on a topic: Perplexity's got me
- Overwhelmed by emails: SO many tools for that
- Even physical products in the real world: I've used tools like Meshy to generate objects I can 3D print
I could keep going... We're entering a world where, if you have an idea or a problem you need solve, there's a quick solution.
These are obviously just my own day-to-day uses... But extrapolate this over a few years, as these models get better. It's not hard to realize that we WILL solve much bigger and bigger problems... Climate change, hunger, cures for diseases, quicker and more accurate medical diagnosis, predicting severe weather events, getting us to other planets, slowing down aging... It all feels inevitable to me now. And it all feels like it'll happen quicker than most realize.
:) The Big Question
The one main question that I still constantly ponder to myself... What happens when everyone is capable of anything? When we're all on a level playing field with the same abilities and access? How does this change our economy? What happens when no one needs to hire anyone else anymore?
I'm so in awe by what's happening right now but I also fully understand why it scares so many people as well.
