This is a submission for the WeCoded Challenge: Echoes of Experience

The WeCoded Challenge 2025, hosted by DEV, is a celebration of diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. This event evolved from the SheCoded initiative, which began in 2018 to amplify women's voices in tech.

By 2025, it transformed into WeCoded, embracing a broader spectrum of underrepresented voices in the tech community.

This year, the challenge has taken a new format to engage more participants, highlighting personal stories and innovative tech solutions.

Challenge Overview

The WeCoded Challenge features two main prompts:

1. Echoes of Experience - Participants are encouraged to share their personal journeys in tech, focusing on overcoming challenges and celebrating triumphs. This prompt aims to inspire underrepresented individuals and educate allies on fostering inclusivity in technology.

2. Celebrate in Code - This prompt invites participants to create a dynamic landing page for DEV's WeCoded celebration, incorporating stories and insights from past SheCoded and WeCoded events. The winning design will become the official WeCoded landing page.

Submissions are open until April 6, 2025, with winners announced on April 17.

Prizes include a six-month DEV++ Membership, a unique DEV Badge, and a gift from the DEV Shop.

   • Niwat focuses on overcoming barriers in tech as a minority, advocating for inclusive practices and better representation.

5. My Journey in Tech as a Nigerian Woman by Paul Labhani Courage

   • Paul Labhani shares the challenges faced in tech as a Nigerian woman, emphasizing resilience, community support, and continuous learning.
