Everyone knows Apple's brand: privacy and being elite. You buy into their secure "walled garden," and it just works.
Remember when Siri first came out? It was the future. When everyone else was flexing over new screens, Apple users could flex over intelligence. They were so far ahead of their time.
So... What Happened?
Fast forward to today, and Apple Intelligence just feels... behind. Google and OpenAI are showing off things that feel like science fiction, while Apple is announcing features that others had last year, like summarizing emails.
Now, Apple fans know the drill. Maybe they are planning something big that will "burst out in the coming months." They like to be the best, not first.
But for now, what we can observe is that they are lagging behind.
Their new strategy even includes using OpenAI's ChatGPT, which is weird for a company that hates relying on others. It may be very expensive for them and feels like a temporary fix.
This leads to the big question: Maybe they are building something we don't know!!!
They have to be. They can't build their future on another org's tech. But while we wait for that secret project, the most valuable company in the world looks like it's playing catch-up in the biggest tech race of the decade.
Soon, I will be searching on it more and come up with the new research soon!
