File management in Projects needs a major upgrade

The current file management interface in Claude Projects is too limited for serious intellectual or professional work. Here are three improvements that would make a real difference:

  1. Larger file display
Files are currently shown very small, making it hard to identify them quickly. A grid view with larger thumbnails — similar to iPadOS Files app — would greatly improve readability, especially in projects with many documents.

  2. Sorting options
There is currently no way to sort files. Basic criteria like name, date added, file type, or size would help users navigate dense projects efficiently.

  3. Folders and subfolders
For complex projects (research, long-form writing, multidisciplinary work), a hierarchical folder structure is essential. Everything is currently flat, which becomes unmanageable beyond a dozen files.

These three points form a coherent whole: Claude Projects deserves a file management experience worthy of a serious intellectual work tool, not just a document dumb.****
