I didnt know people used Ai to build fronted design as its very easy. I have my own custom Css rendering mechanism for that so, im at an advantage here. Html/js is walk in the park for me..
Apart from that Vercel Chat is simply useless and flawed. Doesnt follow instructions, doesnt take the full chat into considerations when providing a solution.
Im kind of amazed how these companies that are built on React with preloaded components fools new coders these days. Having a vast experience in the fields, I can advise vercel chat to people who loves wasting time for low quality code..
Frontend dev is the last thing for which I would consider taking advise from an Ai..
My use cases are generally very complicated as I rarely use any external libararies.. and its very hard for Ai to fool me around on that..
But for devs that doesnt understand the concept of build high quality code structure, make sure Ai dont add more bugs and issues.
My choice would be Git Copilot or Sourcegraph for new coders but I dont like them much either as responses are mostly flawed but not as much as vercel.. Vercel takes it to a new scale..
I've just had a look at this and it seems to only produce code using Tailwind, which is weird, since as an LLM tool it shouldn't care what the output format is, and could use real CSS.

yeah, it seems they are not so "open source" afterall ? I guess they realized they could profit from this, I wonder if it is legal to develop it opensource and they just get rid of the code online and keep it for themselves. If anyone finds a fork from when it was properly published it'd be nice to share it
