Mach Is Now Available on WinGet - Install a C++20 Web Framework with One Command

I'm happy to share that Mach is now available through WinGet, making it easier to install the framework on Windows.

Mach is an open-source C++20 web framework inspired by ASP.NET Core, designed to simplify building HTTP APIs in modern C++.

It provides minimal APIs, controllers, dependency injection, middleware, JSON serialization, validation, and more, built on top of Boost.Asio and Boost.Beast.

Install Mach with WinGet

If you're using Windows 10 or later, open PowerShell or Windows Terminal and run:

winget install MachFramework.Mach
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

That's it! WinGet handles downloading and installing Mach without requiring you to manually download the MSI installer.

You'll still need the development prerequisites, including a compatible C++ compiler and CMake, to build Mach applications.

A Glimpse of Mach.

Once Mach is installed and your development environment is configured, you can start building HTTP APIs with a minimal, expressive syntax:

app.mapGet("/hello", [] {
    return mach::ok("Hello from Mach!");
});
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Mach handles the underlying HTTP networking, allowing you to focus on application logic.

Under the hood, the framework uses Boost.Asio, Boost.Beast, and C++20 coroutines for asynchronous networking.

What's Next?

I'm currently working on Mach 1.1.0, focusing on improving request binding, HTTP configuration, and the overall developer experience.

WinGet support is another step toward making Mach easier to discover, install, and use.

If you're interested in modern C++ backend development, I'd love for you to give Mach a try. Feedback and contributions are always welcome!
