The 5 Architectural Pillars of Elevate ERP's Iris Engine

  1. 76 Typed Operational Tools: Rather than unstructured text prompting, Iris interacts through 76 deterministic, typed tools across admissions, fees, attendance, examinations, payroll, library, transport, and timetables.
  2. Zero-Privilege Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Tools cannot execute without cryptographic validation of the signed-in user's role (Principal, Teacher, Accountant, Parent).
  3. Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Guardrails: Operational tools are split into four risk tiers: read_only, reversible_write, destructive, and financial. Any high-risk mutation (such as fee waivers or grade alterations) pauses execution and renders an interactive confirmation modal showing exact before-and-after parameter diffs.
  4. Cryptographic Tamper-Proof Audit Logging: Every single tool execution is immutably recorded with actor ID, timestamp, parameters, and rollback checkpoints.
  5. Strict India Data Residency & DPDP Act 2023: Hosted in Google Cloud Mumbai (asia-south1). LLM calls are completely stateless with zero model retraining on student records.
