I did not begin with a plan to build an entire entertainment site.
I began with individual projects: a maze game, a browser, experiments, desktop software, utilities, and ideas that did not belong anywhere else. Eventually, the collection itself became the project.
That collection is now Basya Entertainment.
The Featured shelf
Rather than presenting everything as one enormous catalogue, I created a Featured section for the projects that best explain what Basya Entertainment is:
- Basya Slots, an Android slot game
- BasyaNet, a browser with its own personality
- BasyaOS, a custom graphical desktop
-
Basya Tools, for creating, editing, and running
.basyaapplications - BEZip, an archive format and accompanying tools
The rest of the site branches into browser games, utilities, creative tools, and interactive oddities.
The browser games
Projects such as Doomaze run directly in the browser. Doomaze is a shifting maze where the player scans corridors, repairs anchors, collects shards, wakes two cats, and escapes through a rift.
There are also casino games, puzzle collections, simulations, sandboxes, and experiments that are harder to describe without simply opening them.
The difficult part
Building many projects was easier than deciding how people should discover them.
A giant project grid gives visitors choices, but it does not necessarily give them a starting point. The Featured shelf is my attempt to solve that: a curated introduction before visitors wander into the larger collection.
I am still figuring out the right balance between studio, arcade, toolbox, and strange corner of the internet.
You can explore it here:
I would genuinely value feedback on the first visit:
- Is it immediately clear what Basya Entertainment is?
- Which Featured project would you open first?
- Does the variety feel interesting or overwhelming?
