Building in AWS

I feel like this path, combined with also earning some proficiency in other cloud platforms, is fairly practical, and pretty exciting IMO. Some of the most interesting stuff we can do these days is a matter of learning what these platforms are putting out.

I feel like this touches on Python and devops fairly naturally.

I completely agree. The more I learn about DevOps and infrastructure the more I want to learn about it. It's a bit of a stretch from the Data Analyst world but not too much.

It’s a fascinating field! I’m personally sort of a generalist, so I do a bit of all this stuff without getting all that good at any of it. 😂

That's the spirit!

As soon as I realised we are all doing that, I felt a lot better about not knowing all the things about all the things all the time.

Nothing wrong with being a Jack of (Almost) All Trades, in fact it's always something I look for when hiring analysts.

Thanks Alan, I have some more soul searching to do this week, I’m trying to make some kind of plan without agreeing to do everything and learn everything :)

There has to be a happy medium between expanding your knowledge base and stretching yourself too thin over too many areas. Good luck in finding it!
