What industry am I in?

I hesitate to say that I am in the "software industry". I feel as though I could talk shop with a hardware developer or potentially transition to into a hardware-centric role without feeling like I had shifted careers. However, "coding industry" as a title seems too informal. "Programming" is too vague; "tech", "digital", way too vague; "development", too context-specific; "web development", too narrow; "engineering", too broad, "computer science", 🙄. I know my trade as an abstract concept, but maybe we say naming things is hard because our industry just sucks at naming things.
