CircuitCraft: a Rust circuit editor with ngspice simulation.

I’m developing CircuitCraft, an open-source desktop application that combines circuit drawing, ngspice simulation and basic PCB design.

The application is written in Rust, while ngspice handles the circuit simulations.

Currently, it supports:

  • Schematic editing and hierarchical circuits.
  • AC, DC and transient simulations.
  • Waveform plots and CSV export.
  • Manual PCB routing and an experimental two-layer autorouter.
  • A 3D PCB preview.
  • Gerber and Excellon export.

To try it, download the Windows release, extract the full ZIP and run Start-CircuitCraft.bat. The first-circuit guide walks through an RC filter example.

This is an early project. The component library is limited, the autorouter can leave connections unrouted, and the 3D component shapes are approximate.

Feedback on the editing workflow, simulation results and reproducible bugs would be helpful.
