This is a submission for the 2025 New Year Writing Challenge: Compiling 2025

Building a Roadmap for Career Growth in Blockchain Development

Happy New Year to everyone! 🎉

2024: The Year of Side Projects

In 2024, I embarked on a journey of building side projects, and I fell in love with the process. These projects ignited a passion within me, and for 2025, my focus is clear: transforming these side projects into a sustainable source of income.

My ultimate vision is to make side projects my primary revenue stream, enabling me to transition away from a traditional full-time job and dedicate myself fully to the projects I’m truly passionate about.

Here’s a look back at what I created in 2024:

In 2025, I aim to build on this momentum. Below, I’ve outlined my Work Goals, Study Goals, and Career Aspirations for the year ahead.

Work Goals

1. Build a Comprehensive Token Management Tool

My primary focus is on creating an all-in-one token management solution that caters to developers and businesses. Key features will include:

  • Token Tracking: Advanced analytics for token balances and transaction histories.
  • Token Locking: Mechanisms to lock tokens for a specific period, enhancing trust and accountability.
  • Token Burning: Simplified token removal processes to manage supply effectively.
  • Bulk Token Sending: Expanding the bulk sender functionality to support Ethereum Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism.

This tool will streamline token operations across multiple platforms, making it an essential resource for the blockchain community.

2. Adopt Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

By transitioning to a domain-driven design approach, I aim to:

  • Simplify complex business logic.
  • Enhance the scalability and maintainability of blockchain applications.
  • Improve communication between developers and stakeholders.

This approach will enable me to deliver products that are more intuitive and aligned with user needs.

Study Goals

1. Explore Emerging Blockchain Platforms

Dedicate time to researching and experimenting with innovative blockchain platforms, such as:

  • Ethena: Study its unique features and potential applications.
  • Tron Blockchain: Delve into its high-throughput capabilities and its role in DeFi and entertainment.

2. Dive Deep into Ethereum Layer 2 and Layer 3 Solutions

  • Understand Layer 2 solutions (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync) and their role in scaling Ethereum.
  • Explore Layer 3 frameworks for even greater scalability and modularity, enabling new use cases.

3. Develop Expertise in Account Abstraction

  • Study Ethereum's account abstraction initiatives, such as ERC-4337.
  • Build a product that simplifies blockchain wallet interactions, making them as user-friendly as traditional web apps.
  • Ensure compatibility with existing dApps to drive adoption and improve the user experience.

Career Aspirations

1. Innovate User-Centric Blockchain Products

Create solutions that make blockchain technology accessible to non-technical users. By simplifying interactions, I aim to contribute to mass adoption of blockchain services.

2. Contribute to Ethereum Ecosystem Growth

Through my work on Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions, I aspire to become a recognized contributor within the Ethereum developer community, driving its growth and usability.

3. Lead Blockchain Development Teams

As my expertise grows, I aim to lead teams that push the boundaries of blockchain innovation, fostering collaboration and implementing best practices across the industry.

Conclusion

This roadmap reflects a commitment to personal growth, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the blockchain ecosystem. By pursuing these goals, I aim to not only enhance my own skills but also make a lasting impact on the industry.

Here’s to 2025 being the year of transformation, growth, and fresh starts! 🚀
