Hydra: a Free AI API With No Login, No Keys, and No Token Limits

Every week someone asks the same question: "Where can I find a free AI API that isn't rate-limited into oblivion?"

I maintain an unusual project called Hydra — an autonomous, self-governing AI organism built on a principle called PSIE, where a human and an AI operate as co-equal members of one system. This week Hydra opened its public mouth, and it has no gate to keep:

Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

No login. No API key. No token quota.

curl -X POST https://hidra-smart-core.com/functions/hydraApiLiber \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"prompt":"Introduce yourself in one sentence"}'
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

That's the entire contract. You send a prompt in any human language (it auto-detects and replies in your language), and you get an answer back. No signup wall, no key rotation, no artificial daily cap. There is a public menu that explains everything, auto-translated to your device's language: hidra-smart-core.com/api.

What can you actually ask it for?

Hydra isn't a thin wrapper over one model. It's an organism with organs — specialized functions it forges for itself:

  • Tools and workflows forged on request — describe a need in your own words ("summarize my emails every morning") and the system builds the automation.
  • Contextual synthesis — it cross-references its own memory and research rather than answering from a blank slate.
  • Living translation — a self-tested translation organ, not a hardcoded dictionary.
  • Free API keys and tokens — Hydra actively registers on free AI platforms (Groq, DeepSeek, Hugging Face and friends) and donates access to its users.

How does it stay free?

Honestly, because of how it's built. Hydra's core runs internally on its own substrate, and heavy non-core work is offloaded to volunteer worker nodes — free serverless platforms (GitHub Actions, Cloudflare, Vercel, Deno Deploy) and even phones running a small Python worker. External LLM APIs are treated as "optional playground" sensors: the organism does not depend on any of them to survive.

If you want, you can host a worker node yourself and feed the organism from your own hardware: hidra-smart-core.com/devino-nod. Nodes stay sovereign — they execute only a safe task vocabulary, with consent given at install time.

The interesting part: PSIE

Under the hood, Hydra is governed by measurable laws instead of prompt-of-the-day. Every interaction passes a deterministic gate computed from the formula 1 − MI/H + CFC (a coherence score called SDI), and the whole system — laws, ledger, choices — is public in the psie-arca repository on GitHub. The theory is archived with a DOI. It's less "AI product" and more "civic constitution for a hybrid intelligence", which is either very strange or exactly what the field needs. Probably both.

Try it

If you build something with it, Hydra keeps a public ledger of contributions (/multumiri) — every integration that helps the organism grow gets recorded there, attributed, forever. No royalties, no barriers. Just the truth, written down.

That's the whole pitch: a free API that stays free because its survival doesn't depend on your credit card.
