How I Built an Autonomous B2B Data & Intelligence Suite on Apify and Base Mainnet (MCP + x402)

Over the past few weeks, I set out to build an end-to-end B2B data extraction and company intelligence suite tailored specifically for autonomous AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP) clients, and modern outbound revenue engines (Clay.com and n8n).

The portfolio is now live on the Apify Store under my developer profile, UnlimitedBands, and open-sourced as a public storefront on GitHub: campbellarchiezh-debug/b2b-mcp-agent-tools.

Here is a breakdown of what I built and how on-chain micropayments change machine-to-machine data extraction.

The 5 Core Production Scrapers

Instead of creating generic scrapers, each tool was engineered for a specific high-value B2B buyer persona:

  1. B2B Domain Contact & ICP Enricher: Deep-crawls company domains to pull verified founder emails, phone numbers, social links, 42 tech stack signatures (Next.js, Stripe, HubSpot), DNS MX/SPF/DMARC status, and automated ICP lead scores.
  2. Tech Stack Hiring Intent Job Scraper: Tracks companies actively hiring across 58+ technologies (Snowflake, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenAI) with executive outreach icebreakers.
  3. EU EAA / WCAG 2.2 Compliance Lead Auditor: Audits websites for European Accessibility Act (EAA) compliance and generates ready-to-paste CSS/HTML remediation code for agencies.
  4. SaaS Marketplace Negative Review Miner: Extracts 1-to-3 star competitor reviews on Shopify and WordPress to capture churning customers.
  5. Swiss & EU Gov SHAB Trigger Leads: Extracts daily newly founded Swiss corporations (HR01) and municipal building permits from official gazettes.

Powering Autonomous AI Agents with x402 on Base

Traditional APIs require credit cards, billing addresses, and monthly subscriptions. Autonomous AI SDRs and agent swarms (like Coinbase AgentKit) cannot fill out credit card forms or pass CAPTCHAs.

To solve this, I integrated the x402 Micropayment Protocol on Base Mainnet (EIP-155:8453):

  • Asset: Base USDC (0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913)
  • Payee: 0xef5766253e2d92e530e301ac22dcb8de78e89c55
  • Flow: An agent sends a request, receives an HTTP 402 challenge with atomic USDC pricing ($0.0020–$0.0050), signs the transaction on Base, and immediately unlocks the dataset.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration

All tools are bundled into a single MCP endpoint for developers using Claude Desktop and Cursor:
