Looking for a co-founder who thinks in products, not just pixels

I'm not looking for a designer to make our startup look good. I'm looking for someone who might change what we decide to build.

Some people see a website and think about how to make it look better.

Others wonder why it exists, who needs it, what isn't working, and whether it should exist in that form at all.

I'm looking for the second kind of person.

I'm building a startup with a co-founder, and I'm looking for another co-founder to take ownership of design, product exploration, and research.

I won't share the product details publicly just yet. We're at the pre-MVP stage, and there's still room for the right person to influence the direction of what we're building.

What I'm looking for

Someone who is curious enough to investigate a market beyond the first page of search results.

Someone who notices the small details in products, interfaces, and experiences that most people pass by.

Someone who enjoys asking:

• Is this actually a problem worth solving?
• What are existing products getting wrong?
• Where is there an opportunity that others haven't explored properly?
• How could this experience feel different, rather than just look different?

Design matters, but I'm not looking for someone who only wants to make a polished landing page.

I want someone who can take an idea, challenge it, reshape it, and give it a form that makes people stop and pay attention.

You don't have to be a developer

If you can build frontend interfaces, that's a plus.

If you don't code but know how to use tools like Claude to turn your ideas into working experiences, that's completely fine too.

What matters more is whether you have the imagination to start with something that doesn't exist yet and the curiosity to figure out how it should work.

I'm interested in people who explore unconventional design, thoughtful interactions, and products that feel intentional. The kind of work that makes you wonder why someone built it that way—and then makes you realize it was the right choice.

Why a co-founder?

There is already a co-founder handling marketing, market validation, and eventually sales.

I'm looking for someone who can own the design and product side as a partner, not someone who simply receives a list of tasks.

You would have room to question decisions, contribute to the direction, and help shape the product from the beginning.

You don't need to have a perfect portfolio or a long list of startup experiences.

But I do want to see how you think.
