Yeah, on non-windows platforms you're well off downloading Visual Studio Code and getting familiar with the .NET CLI. Just learn the basic commands like dotnet new, dotnet restore, dotnet build, dotnet publish, dotnet run. to start. Then, you can learn how to use the C# debugging in VS Code.
