Hey everyone,
We’re currently looking for a freelance DevOps engineer to help us with our cloud infrastructure. The role is fully remote and we’re flexible with hours. Budget is around $3,000 to $4,000 USD per month depending on your experience and how much time you can commit.
What we need:
Solid experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda.. the usual suspects)
Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines. We use GitLab CI but experience with any major tool works
Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code, mainly Terraform
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Grafana, or CloudWatch
Linux administration is a must
Nice to have:
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance
Any background with cost optimization on cloud platforms
What you’d actually be doing day to day:
You’ll be managing and improving our cloud infrastructure, setting up and maintaining deployment pipelines, working closely with the backend team to make sure things run smoothly in production, and jumping in when things break (because they will, let’s be honest). We also want someone who can help us improve our monitoring and alerting setup because right now it could be better.
We’re a mid-sized tech company, been around for a few years, and the engineering team is about 30 people. The culture is pretty chill but we do expect ownership over your work. No micromanagement.
